Google Strikes Deal With Twitter For Search Results


Google and Microsoft (Bing) both announced this week that they have made respective deals with Twitter to incorporate their data in search results. This is huge news in the search engine marketing world as arguably the biggest online companies have combined forces. The pros and cons are innumerable, and most marketers are waiting for the dust to settle before passing judgment on the merger. Many proponents are arguing that the most relevant, real-time results will be displayed in search results; the other side is arguing that spam and worthless chatter may overtake trustworthy content and refined data.
